As good as pets

I am showing three photos of this decorative diamond pattern rug: 1) two 5x8 rugs side by side under the dining table, 2) the old previous rug side by side a new diamond pattern rug 3) as a bathroom rug on top of one elegant, thick, soft carpet. This new diamond pattern rug still clings to cat claws but is stronger (see photo); It can be cut while the older one had tufts of yarn that could not be cut without breaking the connection with the carpet memory (see photo of the old carpet). The pattern on this diamond pattern rug matches these driftwoods better. I have driftwood on all my rugs, this cotton diamond pattern looks better than most I've tried and is washable. I take my woolens into the driveway to clean and dry them. This is as thin as a shower mat in the bath and is therefore easier to throw in the washing machine. I bought 2 instead of a large size so I can machine wash them more easily and I have already washed one of the 5x8 in my front loading washing machine at home (a few hairballs came out in the wash). The length has reduced by about 4 inches, the width has reduced a little less. I found the 8' x 10' difficult to transport in or out of the laundry room (wet, it's heavy). Obviously, the center line shown in the photo is not quite flat under the dining table, even when it's glued on. (I'm also trying a version of the non-slip rug under a similar rug elsewhere, using duct tape to secure the rug to the rug). I have a smaller version of this pattern that I have washed and it looks great in the bathroom over an elegant soft rug (bathroom photo). In the bathroom, a thin rug fits perfectly under an open door and over a soft rug. The pattern on this design is light (taupe and cream) and subtle enough not to overwhelm the decor. Taupe is grey-brown. It's not as soft as the old plain rug before (seen next to the older beige plain rug in the photo). I had an old carpet from the same manufacturer for about two years. For the price, these mats aren't too bad to break and replace.
