Good product that works very well

Product looks good. Once you install it, it will work very well. Contrary to some other complaints about problems with the instructions, I had no trouble understanding them. All you have to do is look at the picture. I had several problems with the installation. First, I had a little less space at the top of the door than the instructions called for. I replaced the blocks on the doors that prevent them from jumping with slightly lower ones so they release the soft close mechanism and the problem is solved. I suggest you ditch the screws holding the drive to the door and use shorter, better ones. My door is hardwood, so even though they were advertised as self-tapping screws, I knew I shouldn't even try to just screw them in. Even after drilling almost screw-sized pilot holes, they broke off immediately. I had to spend about an hour trying to get the broken screws out with a vise. The supplied screws are much longer than necessary and should be really cheap steel. Save yourself some frustration and get some decent screws about 3/4" long and use them to attach the drives to the door. Once installed I was very happy with how it worked.

Pros
  • Door hardware and locks
Cons
  • Very expensive
