Allows a dual battery to be fitted without affecting the performance of my starter battery. The exciter is connected to the AC fuse box and charges a second battery that powers the hot rail, allowing it to power multiple devices in the future. It is currently powered by a constant USB connection and a switchable 3000w/6000w peak sine wave inverter for my bed wagon. I charge my cordless tools and Segway battery in bed while riding and when I park with the engine off when I want to. The fan runs all night for camping and chargers. The Stinger works great, which I can't say about "smart" isolators.
