Works great: Relay

Allows a dual battery to be fitted without affecting the performance of my starter battery. The exciter is connected to the AC fuse box and charges a second battery that powers the hot rail, allowing it to power multiple devices in the future. It is currently powered by a constant USB connection and a switchable 3000w/6000w peak sine wave inverter for my bed wagon. I charge my cordless tools and Segway battery in bed while riding and when I park with the engine off when I want to. The fan runs…

  • Decent performance

Good product! - Relay Control Module

I bought a 200 amp Stinger after a frustrating struggle with a purchased electronic isolator that had an incredible voltage drop that got worse at higher temperatures. It was so bad that I couldn't charge my starter battery. The tip is mechanical and has no problem fully charging my batteries and isolating them. It's compact so it fits in the limited space I have under the hood of my GMC Savana. It is also very easy to knit. It's great to see that my voltmeter reads the correct voltage…

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Too small. look elsewhere

Smaller than it looks. Too low for 200 amps DC. After opening it, I repackaged it and sent it back. Maybe good for something light like a stereo, but not for battery life, especially in a van or boat. I bought a Surepower 1315 instead. Equally rated, but most notably the high-power ports. The battery separator is written, but in fact the combiner combines when charging. It's not fair, I know - it costs twice as much. Sometimes manufacturers (and buyers) do not think about the case when this…

Doesn't last long, questionable warranty

Had I written this review a few weeks ago it probably would have been one of the rave reviews for a good product that just works. opinion has changed. Shortly after the end of the year this unit stopped working properly (see photo) and remembering that the box had a lifetime warranty I decided to go down this route. There is a section on where and how to get in touch. I was told my 1 year warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. They honored the warranty, I'd probably still be…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

  • Negative present

There is a better solution for battery isolation

I was looking for a good quality relay to use in my Chevy truck for auxiliary battery isolation. My stock relay failed, but it was 30 years old. The auxiliary battery is used as one of two batteries in my RV pickup, one in the engine bay and the other in the RV. I tried the Delco OEM relay, but when I bench tested it before installing it, I found that the coil resistance of the relay was only 20 ohms compared to my original which was 50 ohms. When the relay activated, the coil drew over 0.5…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
