Review on IceCap K1-Nano Protein Skimmer: Optimize Aquarium Filtration with Efficiency by Julie Rodriguez

I got the k1 yesterday and put it in my Fluval 13.5 (it fits on the side of the center chamber but you can't use a mounting bracket but it stays in place). This is the #3 skimmer I tried on my nano aquarium and what a difference. Within 5 minutes of turning it on I was scanning well so can't wait to see how well it performs once hacked. As for the sound, that was a big issue from some of the other reviews I read. First let me say that I have never owned a silent skimmer and have had about 7 hobbies with it. It's relatively quiet for that. If you're alone in the room and there's nothing but the tank, you'll hear it, but honestly I expected that too. but it's one of the quietest skimmers I've ever had and it really worked. I have a very quiet skimmer. but they don't do much. This thing is very easy to set up and assemble. The only thing I noticed was a few microbubbles. I was bad the first time I lit it but this morning there were hardly any left but that was to be expected as it wasn't broken yet. I will give an update in a few weeks. but overall I LOVE this thing.
