Easy and clear to connect. One case was damaged which is a bit annoying. I use preforms to store backcountry items from dish soap and hand wash to flour, burner fuel, etc. and sometimes fishing gear. Basically anything that needs more space or security than a film canister. My blanks are thicker than the test tubes included in the kit. So they were closed. But I think it would be nice to use them for most needs, maybe not fuel or soap. The stand is so light that it takes two hands to hold it in place while pulling the tube out, say, where a wooden or metal stand would be in place. Be sure to take out the workpiece. So that played a part in where I placed it, you have to be able to reach it comfortably with both hands.
