It took about 3 hours of fumbling until I found a position where the "lock" actually engages. The cylinder falls out immediately. Here's how it works: It's only held in place by a small rubber grommet. But resetting didn't seem to fix it. You could unlock it with anything flat. Now the trick seems to be that the straight pins are really restless. In order for the lock to actually engage, I had to A: re-grease the pins. B: Once the key is out, partially reinsert it and wiggle, wiggle until the pins click and it clicks into place. Sometimes it can be as quick as the first time, but usually it takes around 45 seconds. It's *TOO* much trouble. It's better to drill the whole lock part and just throw the padlock on the cover.
