Fantastic mirror; Fantastically overpriced

Oooooh. it is a mirror. So many mixed feelings. Let's go through them together: I have two young children who are just learning to ride horses. I've been traveling with a senior for a long time and wanted the mirror(s) to see me from behind when I'm in front. I've tried 5 different mirrors. all disappointments. Either the mirrors themselves are bad (poor visibility, small, vibration, etc.), or they are constantly shifting, or. something, and that's in addition to the fact that they look ridiculous. I finally got to this mirror. I've been eyeing it for a while but it looked a little weird in the photos by comparison (more like a car rear view mirror) and the price was too high to justify a bike mirror. However, I am here. I ordered a mirror on the left, with blue tinted glass. I thought that was it. So let's take their best model. The mirror came boxed and was quick and easy to assemble: it has a solid one-bolt clip. The screw requires an Allen key (not included) but is the same size as most bike accessories. It took me 30 seconds to loosen the screw, install it and tighten/tighten again. The arm is raised and then arched. I played around with the angle for a while trying to find the best position (I found that tilting the arm slightly forward would put the mirror in the best position). The result gives it a really good structure and is a major reason why this mirror works well. The mirror is attached to your arm with a ball joint, so you can rotate/tilt/angle it in any direction up to a certain point. The mirror moves relatively easily, although I was sure the mirror would continue to adjust on the road. In my previous travels this has not happened and the mirror has stayed in place. The mirror is trapezoidal (again, just like a rear-view mirror in a car), which turns out to be a plus as you have a much wider view. Field of view than these round bike mirrors. The blue mirror was great. crystal clear image and blue really reduces glare making the image even better. The mirror also vibrates very little when I use it. There is no way around it: the combination of a wide field of vision and an anti-reflective mirror was far better than any other bicycle mirror. I was afraid when I looked at the photos on the product that this thing would look big and weird. In real life, this is not the case at all. It (hand or mirror) isn't as big or obtrusive as it looked in these photos and doesn't rise as high above the handle. The bottom edge of the mirror was about an inch higher than the top of my hand, which was perfect. The overall impression was not funny at all, but actually cool. In fact, it was the best and coolest bike mirror I've ever tried. Overall the quality, look and feel of this mirror is A+. Now I have to talk about two shortcomings of this mirror. First, the arm is solid and doesn't move, which, like I said, gives it good structure. However, this turned out to be a problem for me as my shifting mechanism (on both sides) is mounted right next to the grip (which is quite normal). So the mirror mount had to be in this mechanism. Again, the arm is locked so the mirror ultimately didn't fall down the handle, but landed right over the handle itself. As a result, when I look in the mirror, I see a crystal clear reflection of my forearm. Yes, my forearm is 50% reflective, which means I can only see behind me when I take my hand off the wheel. It's easy enough now, but it's annoying and I don't want to do it when I keep looking back. The only real option here is to move the shifters farther away, meaning it messes up their placement in relation to my fingers. Not optimal at all. While mirrors with curved arms look bad and gross for other reasons, I benefit from avoiding those situations. Another disadvantage of this mirror is the price. $29?!?! You laugh? wait now I said it was the absolute best working and coolest looking mirror right? Yes. But still. $30 for ONE bike mirror? Most other bike mirrors are $15 for a two-pack. I just bought a Netgear 8-port metal case switch for $19. I just bought a waterproof IP44 outdoor smart socket with three outlets for $24. I just bought a 15 foot stainless steel propane hose with regulator for only $28. So $29 for a plastic mirror? It's impossible to avoid. it is too expensive. As much as I like the mirror, I also feel annoyed and annoyed. dare I say anger at Michou. The price without tint is also too high at $24 for 1 piece. and then they charged me 5$ extra for the blue tint? If it was $30 for 2 packs. Heck, even $40 for 2 packs (considering how good they are) I would agree. But are two plastic bike mirrors worth nearly $60?!?! no no No.--- PROS---- Superb quality- Premium appearance- Crystal clear anti-glare mirror with wide field of view is fantastic- Significantly better than any other mirror I've tried--- CONS---- Very, very, very overpriced - Depending on the bike, there may be positioning problems.
