********Update********************Part failed. The plastic element holding the inner door handle hinge is broken and needs to be replaced in its entirety. Disappointed, the original lasted 15 years but this one lasted 8 months. I plan to contact Dorman to see if there is a guarantee. The broken part gets very little stress during use, but when it broke the inside door handle was practically inoperative. To do this, you need to hold the doorknob with one hand and then use the other hand to pull the handle to open the door. The inability to open the window is a safety issue, which happened when the OEM window regulator failed. . Failure to safely and easily OPEN THE DOOR from the inside is a MAJOR security issue. Also if your old regulator is broken and the window is in the down position it is very important that you know how to safely raise the window with the broken regulator as it can only be replaced when the window is 80 degree is folded up. But I have good mechanical skills and a great set of tools so your results may vary if your mechanical skills and tools are different. Be sure to fix the glass securely in a vertical position so you can replace this regulator. Chances are you don't have the right window fixing tool if that's not what you do for a living, but you can secure the window in the up position with good quality tape on each side of the glass and across the top of the door frame. . Don't skimp on the tape, as you'll need to securely fasten the window to replace the regulator. You can always use Goo Gone to remove the tape from the top of the door frame from the tape. If you are unfamiliar with this mechanical process, ask your mechanic to swap them out for you as it should take around 1 hour of work. for a professional to carry out this repair for you.
