I really like these devices. They're easy to set up, feature-rich, can be used and configured for any IT skill set, including WiFi hacking protections, and are affordable. Due to the construction of my house (brick, rebar, and concrete) and internet service (high-speed fiber), I configure them as routers when connected to the service. I like to connect them to an ISP box and then plug my laptop or desktop into one (1) of the five (5) available service ports. This is the programming configuration to use. Accessing the TP-Link support site is easy and the device is easy to discover and configure at any of three (3) skill levels depending on your skill set and understanding of WiFi terms and requirements. The first level is completed in three (3) steps and you are on your way. The second level (called "Basic" by RP-Link) has a bunch of other settings if you want to customize this level. The third level (3) is advanced and allows higher level Wi-Fi IT skills to configure the device in the selection and configuration drop-down menu. In less than ten (10) minutes you can go from zero to full WiFi with high security at 2.4 and/or 5.0 GHz. I have used and worked with competitor's equipment and equipment from many other vendors for over ten (10) years. I found many of them extremely frustrating as they required frequent "manual" returns due to the complexity of the setup and frequent lack of results during the multi-day process. Frequent returns to this process have been associated with this, especially when updates have taken place. Compared to this and some other systems, this device is a complete "walk in the park" experience, a satisfying and intuitive experience. I do not make this statement lightly. This device is very user-friendly at any skill level. Support is available from the vendor, although I haven't needed it yet.
