3 antennas cover the whole house.

I've been using an old D-Link router for a long time but I found the signal just isn't very strong in our new house so a friend suggested Google Nest. So we tried it and every 22 hours it shut down. Then I unplugged it and put it in the freezer for 3 minutes, after that it worked normally for another 22-23 hours. That's how I got this wonderful TP link. Great speed, great range, and I can use my ice cream freezer.

DID NOT FIND MY new laptop with Wi-Fi 6

For some reason all devices on the network on my new work laptop (with Wi-Fi 6) slowed down to a minimum. It was very repeatable as every time I plugged it in it messed up the network. However, when I switched to a 4 year old Asus router that I had just upgraded to this model from, the problem went away. I don't know why it happened. I tried updating the firmware, rebooting all devices, nothing. So I can't in good conscience recommend it.

This one knocks it out of the park at a price of

I was hesitant to buy an "upgraded" router to save a few bucks, but my experience with this purchase was very positive. I have been using TP-Link home network devices for a number of years. This model has all the features, performance, and user interface that I'm used to. Aside from the lack of TP-Link in the retail box, I didn't see any signs that this router wasn't new and unused. Setup was very quick and easy. I used this router to replace an old 1st generation Apple Airport base station…

More than I expected. Very satisfied

I replaced my old Cisco EA4500 router with this router. The improvement in Wi-Fi signal is phenomenal! I bought a 60MB/s package from my ISP, which is enough for my needs. The Cisco router alone provided my home office with 25 MB/s (not much). I bought a Wi-Fi extender that boosts the signal to the 60MB/s range. Worked fine for the most part, but the repeater kept losing contact with the router. At least once a day - it will reconnect on its own, but that's problematic as I keep calling the…

Big hit for small households

This is a good entry-level router. I know "ac1900" is not every level for some but actually it is higher than 1900 with ax wifi 6 with so many options. It is. I would like to be able to access an interface outside of my home network. The range is not great. I have it in the middle of my 1200 square foot house. The only part that's not great is right on the edge of the garage - the furthest - but it's only 40ft from 3 walls. I expected more from mu-past. Although it does what I want. I don't…

Excellent signal in the room, it shines at

later. I'm a little disappointed that the signal isn't stronger in other parts of my apartment. I set it up to send a signal down an unobstructed corridor, but the Surface I have is only picking up a weak signal. It's better than the one it replaces, but I was expecting more after reading many reviews of how fantastic it was. I'm sure routers at half the price will do the same job.

Excellent router Best among routers

Excellent router with excellent signal range. Updated from the Netgear router and has much better range and more features. Updated it and it was basically new with no issues.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doesn't work for everything

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does the job but has some eccentricities

The throughput of this gigabit router seems great, but the user interface, which is arbitrarily split between "Basic" and "Advanced" settings, is a little strange (many of the advanced settings are really basic, and some of the basic settings differ). It's also odd that the router's port LEDs don't blink to indicate traffic. They're always on fire. However, the router has a setting that allows you to turn off the lights completely at certain times, presumably to keep the lights from disturbing…

General use of WiFi in networking products

I really like these devices. They're easy to set up, feature-rich, can be used and configured for any IT skill set, including WiFi hacking protections, and are affordable. Due to the construction of my house (brick, rebar, and concrete) and internet service (high-speed fiber), I configure them as routers when connected to the service. I like to connect them to an ISP box and then plug my laptop or desktop into one (1) of the five (5) available service ports. This is the programming…
