I'm happy to say that the pictures don't make this tee.
I am pleased to report that the photos do not do this kettle justice. It was better than I had hoped. It is not only beautiful but also well built. The stationary handle doesn't bother me since I'm pouring water straight from the faucet. It boils water quickly, which I also like. I'm not sure why anyone is complaining about the whistling. A feature of the sale was that it had a whistle. If someone complains about this, don't buy a whistling kettle.
