This product has no front and rear rubber seal like the original Moen 1222 cartridge and is not the same quality as the genuine Moen 1222 cartridge. After removing the original Moen cartridge and inserting this product , precisely combined with hot and cold, the product has not been sealed. Hot and cold water flowed constantly, and the position of the cartridge (90 degrees or 180) did not matter. I pulled this one out which ripped the rubber seals and bought a Lowes seal rebuild kit for an original Moen 1222. Works like a charm. Throw this article in the trash. Buy an original Moen cartridge. Don't miss out on buying a Moen cartridge puller either! In the YouTube video, extracting the cartridge looks so easy - it's (repeat) NOT easy. Buy the puller with the salvage kit or the original Moen 1222. FYI, this adventure lasted around 3 hours and is not for the faint of heart.
