I was enticed to purchase it for gaming by the assurances that it will deliver fantastic speeds and super reliability. The first of them failed less than half a year after the purchase, after having functioned normally for approximately eighty-four days: at first, undesirables manifested themselves, and then it was completely lost by the system a couple of times. I made use of WD's RMA program, which, thankfully, can be completed in person by going to their headquarters in Hong Kong. They didn't ask any questions and they accepted it, and three weeks later they sent me a completely new hard drive. The next one lasted an even shorter period of time, with an operating time of less than 13 days and already having two damaged sectors and requiring Windows to be reconnected to the disk. There must not be any interruptions to the power supply, tremors, or excessive use while the enclosure must have adequate ventilation. The "top" WD series has left me with the deepest sense of dissatisfaction.
