This holder is a handy way to keep your SmartThings Hub in an accessible place. A cord storage compartment on the back of the unit keeps curious cats away from loose cords, and with the ability to plug it into an outlet, it can be installed without screwing anything to the wall, ideal for renters. The only real downside (when using a wall socket mount) is that it may need a slight extension at the back so the mount is closer to the wall when the device is plugged in. I currently have a small pad of sticky notes on the wall under the outlet, just behind the bottom edge of the unit to support it. That extra space wouldn't be a problem if I wall mounted it, but I try to minimize the number of holes I make in my apartment walls.
