If you're overhauling MacPherson struts or replacing coil spring shocks, this tool is a MUST. One thing didn't impress me. The edge of the bar that slides between the coils was too wide. I had to saw off a quarter inch of the bar on all four tabs. There was plenty left, so the spring was securely attached. There were two features I LOVE. One was a sliding pin that locks the spool in the bar and keeps it secure. The second was a socket on the end of the drive screw that allowed a 1/2" x 6" extension to be inserted to give my impact wrench a place to work. The last set of scroll compressors I owned didn't have these features. Isn't evolution great?
