I wanted to quickly attach my iPhone to my bike for exercise and map apps. I tried other options when the phone was placed behind the wheel and I didn't like looking down that far and taking my eyes off the road. This mount pushes the phone forward where I can safely view it and - bonus - where the phone's LED flashlight faces the road, which is great for when the batteries in my bike lights are getting low. I used a flashlight holder which is mediocre but I still haven't bought one for it. The quick release buckle attaches to my phone case with strong adhesive and works great. Now to use the Qi charger I have to take my phone out of the case but I don't mind having my phone on my bike which is far more important to me than its wireless charger. The extra rubber mounts weren't very helpful for a large phone but then again I bought it for the carbon fiber mount and the adhesive part that snaps into it and they are perfect. My five star durability rating is solely for these parts. The rest that I didn't need is a bit flimsy.
