I sand oak floors and oak stairs with a Bosch get65-6n sander in turbo mode. I used another sander to remove most of the finish from the wood and then used these 40 grit discs to remove any remaining clear finish and stains. The discs start out great, but after less than a minute of grinding, they don't work as well. They are like using 80 grit or higher discs and just buffing the wood. The discs still "feel" a little rough, but they don't cut like they used to. Competitive drives last at least many times longer. I pulled a few old drives from my pile of used drives from other companies that I thought were worn drives and they still outperformed these worn drives that were only used 1-2 minutes. I have looked at more than 20 discs and they are all of the same quality. Considering the price, I'll just burn through them, but constantly stopping to change discs is very difficult, but I don't have time for this. I even tried using my rubber sandpaper cleaning tool and it stopped sanding so the paper didn't clog and they stopped cutting. I have to say the velcro is fantastic!
