Luckily I tested these waterers before my canaries died of dehydration! Although these troughs are very similar to the ones I have used for many years, they did not deliver water to the trough. Even after installation they were very unreliable - not worth the risk! Update: I have contacted Penn Plax regarding the dangers of using this product on the water. It took several calls to reach a living person. After a week of calls I was reassured that a follow up call regarding a problem that did not arise was very irresponsible of Penn Plax to ignore these concerns! So now I'm bringing the problem to the attention of local pet stores and animal rescue centers. Again, the drinker DON'T HALF WATER - DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR BIRDS!
