quality product but terrible design. The food doesn't go down by itself, you have to keep hitting the tube to make it go down.

Fragile attachment = broken glass

My budgie was able to peck at the container and knock it out of its cage. Bought two and found both lying on the floor! Broken glass, food and water everywhere. The attachment is very wobbly. thin metal.

BIRD FOUNTAIN FOR FEED OR WATER

These bird fountains are almost impossible to find except in Revein. I've been using them on birds for years. Brides drink from them easily, releasing the right amount of water. Transparent so you are notified when refills are needed. The fountain is made of glass, making it easy to keep clean. Very satisfied

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing

It just doesn't work

The plastic bottom can't even hold groceries. And it just falls. Bad design. They made it out of glass which doesn't make sense because it would be more expensive to make a lower quality product because you could put a notch or something in plastic to stick the bottom to it. I'm not sure if they ever tested a product before releasing it, but the bottom line is don't buy it. It just doesn't work.

Pros
  • Best in its niche

not durable - birds

I bought this to replace a very similar one that worked great but eventually broke after 10 years. They look the same although the glass is very thin I have an issue with the temple clip. It is not designed to sit tightly on the glass tube. The feeder wobbles and slides down. I bought this for seeds not water but imagine it would be worse with the weight of the water in it. I was so happy to have found this style and was so disappointed that I now have to redesign the hose clip. It would be aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • quality construction

  • very expensive

ATTENTION: the design does not work!

Luckily I tested these waterers before my canaries died of dehydration! Although these troughs are very similar to the ones I have used for many years, they did not deliver water to the trough. Even after installation they were very unreliable - not worth the risk! Update: I have contacted Penn Plax regarding the dangers of using this product on the water. It took several calls to reach a living person. After a week of calls I was reassured that a follow up call regarding a problem that did not
