I was wondering how effective the glue would be, but it holds up really well. I ordered a size about 1/16" too big so I had to trim it. Trimming was a pain so make sure you try to get the exact size you need. The binding is unfinished. As I have it on When I applied natural finish cabinets I simply applied a clear spray top coat to seal it after application. Results have been good and I recommend the product. This has been used on cabinets above and to the side of my range. Moisture from cooking has resulted in that the original rim curls and peels.Hopefully real wood will hold up better than the cheap flimsy stuff they came with.I've had much better results trimming them before I put them on than trying to trim them afterwards.
