I bought it to use on the shooting range. I was hoping to use it to sight out to 300 yards, but I knew that distance could increase the scope's capabilities. First of all, I have to say that there is actually nothing wrong with this scope. The visor seems solid and durable. Adjusting the sight for power and focus is easy. The phone holder works really well. You have to fiddle with it to make it fit snugly in the scope, and it takes some patience to center the target in the scope so you can see the image on the camera. But it works and the images come out pretty good. I have not altered the above images to enhance them in any way other than cropping them to allow me to post them in this review. I didn't bother using the included tripod because I had a much sturdier option. The soft case works well and should be strong enough to protect the scope from damage from the regular knocks it invariably receives. I gave this scope four stars because it's good value for money, but it doesn't have the quality that you'll find in much more expensive scopes. If you're using this for range, remember that your aiming distance will determine how happy you are with that scope. I used spray targets for my 5.56mm rifle in the hope that the targets would be sufficiently illuminated for the shots to be seen in the scope. (A 5.56mm round leaves a hole the same size as a .22 or .223 round, so it's pretty small.) I set the scope up on a good, sturdy tripod on a concrete target table. If I was careful not to touch the scope too much, I could see shots pretty well at 200 yards. The photo on the left was taken from a target 200 meters away from my iPhone that was scoped. The wind on the shooting range was pretty strong, and the wind affected visibility so much that it was really difficult for me to see where the bullets were hitting. Of course, the picture improved when there was no wind. When I used the scope at 300 yards on my targets, it was almost impossible to get a clear view of the target due to the wind blowing into the scope. The camera has a faster eye than mine and took some good shots at 300 yards. As you can see, you can easily dissect shots at a splatter target. The targets in the photos are 17" in diameter and the targets are 3" in diameter. The quality of the optics is really important. I use a Sig Sauer 4.5x14x44 scope and shots through the scope look sharper at 200 yards than through a spotting scope. If you shoot at 25-150 yards, you will like this scope. At longer distances, you have to balance the small dent this causes in your budget with your need to see your shots at longer distances. If you don't use splash targets, lower your expectations. Basically this is a well made spotting scope for the money that performs at the range at reasonable yards. If you're looking to buy a spotting scope for regular use beyond 200 yards, you'll likely have to pay a lot more for a scope with much sharper optics.
