Received because I liked their USB 3

Just received. I bought it because I really liked their USB 3.0 network adapter. It turns out that the Plugable people used to work for Microsoft on their Windows USB stack, which means that Plugable USB products are designed by people who really know what they're doing. In any case, I went with a USB 2.0 hub over a 3.0 hub because USB 3.0 hubs (any from any manufacturer) emit a lot of RF noise that interferes with wireless mice, headsets, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. For starters, I have a 3.0 hub and my mouse lagged and my headset was full of static electricity. Returned and got this. no noise It's very small and compact. I also like that it doesn't have a built in cable - it folds up easier. It has four regular (Type A) ports, two on each side, and a mini USB port on the end that you use to connect to a computer (or whatever). There are a total of 5 ports on the device. It comes with a 3ft mini USB-A to USB cable, but I have a small 6" cable because it's more convenient for how I want to connect it. I move a lot and I really like its compactness. I could do without the blue light from above, but it doesn't bother too much. It has an AC adapter that you can use if you're going to use it for serious charging, but I don't use an AC adapter. I use it on a Mac with USB 3.0 ports, but it should work fine on Windows too. It powers my wireless mouse and USB dongles for wireless headsets and a flash drive, and I also charged another device. All without a power supply. I love it. And I really like that it's designed by people who seem to really know what they're doing.
