Review on Enhanced Motorcraft DY1164 Throttle Position Sensor by Mitch Garrido

This is a one star warning. This is one of the parts that should be checked before installing and even before removing the old one if the car is still running. Like the other reviewer, mine was broken upon arrival. Something was hanging inside and the throttle actuator was spinning freely in circles (it shouldn't be like that). Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until I removed the old one and the screw broke. Ford uses a lot of screw lock on the original so this is not uncommon and easy to fix as the new one comes with screws. But. Now my van won't work until a new one comes along. Fortunately, the Revain process is painless. shake it; you shouldn't hear a rattle.
