Great kit. Contains everything you need: instructions, wooden hoops, needles, thread, Aida canvas, a printed piece and 5 blanks to work with the calculated patterns in the book. I've been able to sew cross stitches since I was a teenager, but it's been a few years now so the materials are great to start with. The price seems high, but craft stores often sell kits with a pattern and a plastic ring for $3-7, so $30 for 5-6 patterns (the 6th pattern is loaded as a bonus), plus all the threads and supplies which are actually pretty average . I like that the thread is on the cards and not the strands, the strands usually turn into a tangle halfway through the project. I'm not really a fan of hoop earrings, they're great for showing off your finished design, but the rounded edges and delicate clasp make them difficult to work with. Also, templates are printed at a smaller scale to fit the page, so they aren't as legible as if they were printed at a larger size.
