I bought my first squirrel nutcracker many years ago. My granddaughters love using squirrels to crack open salted shelled nuts. Their age varies between eight and one and a half years. My 3 year old sweet pea asked if she could take a squirrel home. Together we ordered one for her to take home and when it arrived all my sweet peas happily took her home with a three pound sack of salted inshell peanuts. This is an easy nutcracker that goes well with walnuts and almonds. I've never had great success with pecans, hazelnuts, or Brazil nuts with this fancy walnut cracker.
