It will NOT fit a 1/2 inch thick lamp post.
I've read all the reviews that said it wasn't made to the standard 1/2" inch pin on the lamp fit they were right but i didnt seem to have a choice as i needed this bracket.convenient to drill and easy to enlarge the receiving hole.now it works fine and you dont notice.so if you bits , a drill and 10 minutes you can make this work for you Lamar in Bakersfield
