There are no instructions on how to use the corner guide! Does it slip on the back of a knife? do you put your knife on him? Confused if you are not familiar with this device. I'm deducting a star because this aspect of the packaging was overlooked. I used it on an old non-simple paring knife. So far the results are great but once I get used to this technique I will start using it on my more expensive blades. As a beginner, take your time and keep your blade steady. Knife and stone aren't going anywhere, so there's no rush.
