the temperature in the temp zone is below just warm temperature. there is an option in the BIOS to change the thermal package so that non-Ka processors work more than their limit. in general, the board is very worthy for its money. Asus' daughter brand, so you can safely take it. The sound is very good with the included software. motherboards based on the z chipset are illogically expensive, so this board is a worthy competitor for those who do not want to bother with memory overclocking (there is an alternative to lowering memory latency, which essentially increases performance similarly to overclocking the same memory).
