I like this helmet but no. First the pros, my son loved the decorative look of this helmet. The helmet is very light, so wearing it on a bike on a hot summer day is not scary. Fitting this helmet to his head is very easy and I am happy with how snug I can adjust it. The fact that the chin is removable is a nice touch, although my son never takes it off. Now the cons. The appearance of this helmet gives the impression that it can be used while driving motorized things like ATV, motorcycle or side by side. Although you can use it for this purpose, I strongly recommend against doing so. This by no means provides sufficient protection to withstand any collisions occurring at any other higher speed than a bicycle. Some of the padding on the inside is held in place by small Velcro strips and keeps falling out. The chin strap doesn't attach to the helmet very well, and eventually the buckle fell off completely. Luckily we found it in the grass of our garden a few days later. I've experimented with this and was able to make the clasp tighter and not fall off. The visor comes in handy when the sun is out, but since my son was sweaty and the helmet was shifting a bit, it limited his vision a bit. With all that being said, for the price they are asking I probably wouldn't buy it.
