Firstly, please note that this is not a starter kit, it is a starter kit (ie this could be your first Latitude 64 kit). I bought this as my very first set (beginner) and found I liked it, but later realized I could throw a real starter set better. The Latitude 64 has another very good starter kit that I bought later. I have no regrets taking this set and buying another to practice with. These discs are slightly heavier and faster than a typical beginner's set and require more power. If you are just trying this sport or are not particularly athletic, I do not recommend starting with this set. However, if you are a beginner and think you will take disc golf more seriously, I recommend buying this set along with the starter set as it will give you the next step and more variety. I've only been doing this for about 2 months, but I've already bought a total of about 30 CDs (various) and I'm actually waiting for my THIRD order of exactly this set. I really like these discs and use the add-ons for practice. I only want to buy the 5 disc version ($40) as it has 2 extra advanced discs which are great. Conclusion: Nothing for less sporty beginners. Although great as a supplement.
