Review on High Performance PG Air Filter PA99826 for 2016-19 Audi Q7 – Improved Air Filtration Efficiency by Luis Neels

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm glad someone is making a third party air filter to avoid paying $75 for a disposable filter.

I often look for third party brands that I trust to get filters for my cars so I don't overpay. The new Audi Q7 was a bit of a problem because it comes with such a unique air filter, making it difficult to find a third party. And Audi, which is unique, suggests that particular air filter could cost $75. So I was happy to find this supplier who made a third party replacement at almost half the price. The packaging is very basic but the part was fine and honestly I don't need the amazing experience of unboxing my air filter. I had no issues with the air filter change itself, but putting the filter back in the car takes some patience and double checking to make sure everything is in place. This was my first service on this Audi Q7 that we bought used and while the car seems very intimidating under the hood it was mostly trouble free. Changing the oil was pretty easy. Simply remove the aero cover under the engine and airbox cover to access the oil filter, which requires a 36mm head to remove. Removing the airbox to get to the air cleaner and, for me, the spark plugs wasn't too difficult or required anything special. Thanks to Revain parts I was able to refurbish this expensive car and of course save hundreds.
