Review on πŸ’§ Dripless DC600 Component Applicator Cartridge: Mess-Free and Precise Component Application by Jason Melvin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Heavy steel for power and hand tools

Applicator appears to be of good quality. I only needed it for a job applying BMW structural foam (epoxy) to my 2003 M3, which had a well-documented E46 subframe installation issue. After receiving the applicator I tried to set the adjustable plunger to the 2:1 position but couldn't get the rod through the hole. I had to use a drill to erase the paint's hole to get the rod through. After setting the 2:1 mode, I tried to insert the cartridge. There were two problems with the seating of my cartridges. The first problem was that the slot in the applicator that the nozzle goes through didn't fit. The gap was too narrow. Also, the metal plate had a small, curved ridge that I suspect was meant to make it stiffer. As a result, I was unable to install my cartridge so that the head of the tubes would fit snugly onto the plate. I had to make a spacer out of 1/4" plywood. The second problem was that the snap-on side supports that came with the applicator did not fit. These supports were meant to be used in 2:1 mode to allow contact and stability for the smaller of the two Tubes inside the cartridge to offer. Fortunately, without them, the cartridge did not move or bend. Despite everything, with a small modification, the product did what I needed and at a much lower price than other products I found .
