Review on ๐Ÿ“ถ Asus USB-AC56 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Adapter with Wireless-AC1300 and USB 3.0 Connectivity by Qu Hiu แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Translated home Wi-Fi network to ac standard. At the heart of the ASUS RT-AC66U router (I didnโ€™t take 68, it makes no sense to pay more). Since it is impossible to change the built-in wi-fi module to ac in a laptop from HP, they donโ€™t release such ones yet, I bought this whistle from asus. The first thing that struck me was its size, it is really big. And if you still screw the 3rd antenna, then it is very large. Connecting it to the laptop itself is not convenient. Luckily, it comes with a cord adapter. The software in the kit is raw. Once I pulled the whistle from the USB connector, Windows 7 flew into a blue screen (in my practice, this is the first blue screen of death on Win 7!). I had to restore to the previous state and roll the driver on a new one. But the speed of the network covers all the shortcomings! Therefore, I put 5. Now, when I need to download something on the laptop, I turn on the whistle. If simple surfing, I use the built-in Wi-Fi adapter. Addition. I noticed that some online games and video players start to glitch when using the 5GHz band. For example, in TESO periodically there is a lag for a minute. The player on the lifeNews site simply stops showing, it is treated only by reloading the page. If you go to 2.4. GHz - everything works fine. The reason is not clear, perhaps when using udp there is a lot of packet loss?

Pros
  • Really fast. 3 antennas.
Cons
  • Large, it is not convenient to connect without an adapter cord to a laptop. Supplied utilities and drivers are raw.
