Review on Pro-Tec Full Cut Certified Skate Helmet: Ultimate Safety and Performance by Jessie Drury

This helmet is very difficult to open and put on. The lining is very thin and therefore uncomfortable to wear. The top of the helmet (EPS layer) is WAY too thick. This makes the helmet look ridiculously high at the top. I made sure it installed correctly and it's still ridiculous. Don't expect a helmet to look like a full-size classic non-certified helmet. The helmet would be much better if the top layer of styrofoam was the same thickness as the front, back and sides. I measured the upper compared to other S1 certified helmets and protec clearly has a bigger difference. This doesn't make much sense as the peak of the helmet should only be used for structural support, not impact. On the other hand, the ear cushions on them are also bad: They have sharp edges and do not press on the face like classic full-size headphones. I really hope that Protec will change their design to reduce head height when worn (and still pass the certification) because I was very disappointed with that 😭
