A few details before I start the review: This is my first time making candles, so my work is now experimental. I use a cheap wax pillar candle, 10-pack Playskool colored pencils (and some more wax), a dollar store about 2 inches in diameter, and P&J Trading Bubble Gum scent. I used a pink crayon, 8 drops of fragrance oil and enough wax to fill about 2/3 of the votive. The candle ended with a gap between the rim of the glass and the wick. As for the wick, it's strong, even with some jerking, bending, and other fuss. The sticker is convenient for the beginner; Don't worry about leveling the base of the wick and then constantly pouring a drop of wax on it. The wick burned without smoke even after being blown out and re-lit. There was some wax left on the rim of the votive but I think this is due to the indentation in the wax. It looks like the next time my wax is even it will burn all the way to the glass. I shot in the dark as my research shows wicks can be finicky depending on wax, dye and container width. and the flavors were used but I bought them because other reviews show they are generic and I didn't want to pay the price for a trial pack from another site. So far I'm impressed and can't wait to keep practicing!
