Nice 50 amp outdoor socket

When I bought a spa a few years ago I opted for a 50 amp 4 pin socket to connect to the mains. Sometimes when you live in a small town you use what you have. It was an internal 4 pin surface mount outlet, weather wasn't an issue as the hot tub is below the deck on the second floor. I recently got a new hot tub and decided to upgrade to an external outlet. When I found this one it seemed perfect. In the original installation, a PVC pipe ran along the wall. This device really isn't designed to enter the canal from above. This can be done by punching a hole in a small square cap that screws on at the top. The real problem is that the wiring other than ground is connected to the bottom of the outlet. Again, this is doable, but trying to bend 2-#6 and 1-#8 180 degrees and slide the exhaust mounting plate back into the box is a chore. Once installed, it looks and works great. Wiring from both sides or from below would be a breeze. 4 stars for "easy installation" refer to my case or a better connection.
