Review on πŸ”‹ HiLetgo VOT-8 Voltmeter Kit: DIY Voltage Meter Electronics Production Suite for Student Electronic Exercises by Brian Kingsford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good homemade voltmeter for people who are not afraid to think

Why only four stars? I'd rather pay 50 cents more, but I have a 3-wire connection. Also I would appreciate if there is an application or even a source where I can get it. Also, if you need different values, it would be nice to have a calculator for different capacitor and resistor values to set (i.e. read 10.0 when there is 5 volts at the input). Therefore one star less. I wanted to use it as a map touch monitor on a vehicle. Yes. The management is very bad but it's good. You need to find a datasheet to find out what the voltage regulator pinout is and use the DVOM, to figure out the circuit on the board. All elements are written on the circuit board and, in principle, it is impossible to make a mistake. I'm also impressed that it's microcontroller based. I thought it would be something on the ICL 7606 or similar but found my electronic knowledge is very out of date. I recommend.

Pros
  • Computer parts
Cons
  • So far so good
