A good homemade voltmeter for people who are not afraid to think

Why four stars at once? I'd rather pay 50 cents more, but I have a 3-wire connection. Also I would appreciate if there is an application or even a source where I can get it. Also, if you need different values, it would be nice to have a calculator for different values of the capacitor and resistor to set (i.e. let it read 10.0 when the input is 5 volts). Therefore one star less. I wanted to use it as a map touch monitor on a vehicle. Yes. The management is very bad but it's good. You'll need to

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

After sitting and thinking about the cryptic diagrams (mostly Chinese) and mixing the schematic symbols of America and Asia, I was able to piece them together. Unfortunately mine must either be damaged or I made a mistake as it doesn't work and only reads 0.0 no matter which battery is connected. Was fun to build, you only need documentation in the language of the target customer.

Pretty easy kit if you have a basic knowledge of electronics

This kit, like many others, is a good kit for hobby soldering and/or learning. If you solder all the components properly, you end up with a great little part that works, but doesn't have as full a feature set as off-the-shelf products. For example, I used it to test some 9 volt batteries I have, for everything else I use my multimeter. But again, it's nice to have a working device to show off your efforts. Moving on to assembly I had no problems other than a small confusion with the orientation

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Useless features

Great DIY kit - fun, interesting, good price

This was a great little DIY kit! If you enjoy soldering little crafts or making fun electronic projects, then this inexpensive project is perfect for you. It makes a great gift for anyone with an interest in learning STEM or electronics. I would say this set is good for anyone over the age of 9-10 with supervision. I could easily see a kid building this with their dad or mom over the weekend!

Cons
  • Ugly packaging
