I was disappointed with this purchase and have already sent a return and refund sticker. There are two things I have trouble with: 1) It's clearly made for larger dogs because it stretches from the floor to the roof of the car. But nothing prevents a moderately determined medium-sized dog from bending over the top and snapping the plastic elbow connector in the middle of the two bars. That's right, it's not a strong center pole, but a very flexible pole that you would find in a camping tent. And the worst thing is the plastic connector, which gives way under pressure from above. 2) Since it's only designed for the most obedient big dog who won't give you any trouble anyway, otherwise it's a very big solution for a small dog just trying to hop in the back seat. And this solution creates quite a bit of light blockage that obscures your vision - more than what you need for a small dog solution. Disappointed and will look for a better solution for my 45 lb dog. Seat.
