It's my fault I'm disappointed, I thought these were something else. They are designed for cabinet installation, aligning the face frames together. I thought they were for installing he face frames on cabinets, which would be awesome, but the clamp fully closed is 2 inches. Far from being able to clamp onto a piece of 3/4 ply to attach a face frame. But the clamps are very well made and do what they advertise
