When it Comes to Customer Empowerment, FUTURESTEPS Comes Up Short

For a brand that promotes itself as "more than just a seller of sports and outdoor gear," FUTURESTEPS has let me down as a storyteller. Their advertising claims that they are a lifestyle brand that helps people feel confident and well-equipped to explore the outdoors, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Recent interactions with the company left me feeling demoralized. After only a few outings in the FUTURESTEPS hiking boots I ordered, they were already falling apart. I tried to get in touch with customer care to get a replacement or refund, but they were rude and unresponsive. I was informed that "normal wear and tear" was not covered by the warranty because I had worn the boots outside. This is the antithesis of an empowered mentality. If FUTURESTEPS was serious about empowering people to enjoy the outdoors with confidence and preparation, the company would guarantee the quality of its goods and treat its customers well. Instead, it appears that they care more about preserving their profit margins than they do about the happiness of their clientele. In conclusion, FUTURESTEPS is not the place to go if you want to work for a company that will give you the confidence to conquer the outdoors. It's disappointing and unhelpful that they don't care about their clients and won't guarantee the quality of their products.

Cons
