I've tried a lot of different clickers, both boxes and buttons. And this is by far my favorite clicker. I've found that on some clickers with buttons, the button is too big so there's a slight "delay" between the button being pressed and the actual sound. And in dog training it is very important that it clicks when the dog does something right. I've also found that other button clickers have a more muted sound. The StarMark clicks very quickly and has a nice sharp click I think due to the large holes on the front. It's loud and resonates very well. So if you have a dog that is sensitive to clickers, you might not want to try this one, but would rather try one of the other button clickers first. The PetSafe Click-R has a very smooth, muted sound if that's what you're looking for. I like working with my dog in distracting conditions or over long distances, so StarMark is great for that. I've been using it constantly for about 8 months and it doesn't wear out at all. I had two when I bought them and haven't used the second one yet. A disadvantage? It does not come with a bracelet. Sure, they're cheap and easy to find, but it's still silly not to include them. Zodiac is on the right. StarMark does NOT come with the bracelet pictured.
