This is a reasonably priced and fairly cheap battery tester, but given the simple task it performs and its size, it's a good buy. This will give you the remaining battery power: AAAACD9 VOLTS. A sliding red bar approaches the ends of each battery, but you must ensure that the battery ends rest squarely on the metal detectors as they are only ¼ inch wide. Your battery will show GREEN (Good), YELLOW (Low), and RED (Replace). The 9 volts are just the two metal dots on the top of the tester where you insert the battery. This little detector saves you from having to deal with dozens of small batteries (like mine). PS Always dispose of batteries properly - Most pharmacies have bins.
