I had a hot water valve on my dishwasher under the sink that needed replacing. The old valve had a very short copper tube that came out of the wall. I couldn't grab the compression ring with pliers and couldn't carve it due to lack of space. I was hesitant to buy it because of the bad reviews but I needed something to help me. This remedy worked perfectly! Just follow the instructions, hook the pins behind the compression nut and turn clockwise. Within 30 seconds the ring and nut were removed and the new valve was in place with no problems. Worked great!
