Review on Neiko 10184A Titanium Drill Speed: Enhance Your Drilling Efficiency! by Ryan Ramirez

Easily drills through a thick metal post

I bought this drill bit to drill four holes in a 3/8 inch thick gate post and it worked great. I needed four 3/4" holes in a thick post for a driveway hinge. These are J hinges with 3/4" bolts going through the post. To drill the holes I put masking tape on the post and marked where the holes should go on each side. I then used a sharp point and a heavy hammer to make a small hole in the metal. All drilling was done with a Ryobi cordless drill, which I had to charge about halfway through. I used a regular 1/8" bit to drill the starting hole through the metal (it was the regular black bit that came with my cordless drill). I then included this step to expand the entire path to 3/4 inch. In terms of technique, I used a very, very slow speed to essentially scrape away the metal. I used fixed constant pressure. But I didn't use any oil.
