Review on 🔍 EPAuto GP258: Versatile Replacement Air Filter for Honda CR-V (2012-2014) by Sean Carter

Purchased based on great reviews, after installation my 2014 CRV started having problems with acceleration and deceleration with gas intake. Actually, I initially assumed it wasn't a filter, because how could a new filter that seems to install correctly do this? I've checked for leaks, fuel pressure, etc - to no avail. Finally I decided to check the reviews of this filter by filtering out the 1 star reviews and indeed a number of CRV owners are complaining about the same thing. Went out and bought a $25 filter from O'Reilly and sure enough the problems went away and the car ran normally again. If you decide to buy you will notice that this filter moves a bit in the filter box, about 3mm on each side. I suspect this is enough to get around the low air volume and lack of laminar flow through the MAF, causing lean issues, acceleration lag, etc. So I would say that this filter is probably a good filter if it works for your vehicle, but the design of this will NOT work for CRV owners.
