Since I'm bedridden, my awesome husband is cooking now. He didn't tell me he used my 30 year old meat mallet when he worked on the machine. He didn't have it when I explained to him that he had to flatten boneless chicken breasts. At this point he had to admit defeat. We're getting older, so I chose a relatively inexpensive mallet as a replacement. I can't believe the quality of this Spring Chef meat mallet. My husband never fails to show off how thin HIS chicken breasts were, and he also brought the Spring Chef into the bedroom to demonstrate the exquisite simplicity of a beautifully crafted hammer. He's not allowed to take it out of the kitchen (laughs).
