Poor Performance

I rarely read or write reviews, but this product was of such poor quality that I had to share it: if I could I wouldn't give any liability. It slips when sanding, which drastically reduces its sanding ability. The Velcro is of poor quality and keeps dropping the grinding wheel. I found this out the hard way when I used the first pad (60 grit), the pad flew to my blind side and I continued sanding with light, even pressure. The velcro pad (where the sanding disc attaches) on my sander did the same job as the disc. After about 30 minutes of grinding I had to replace the disc. To my surprise, when I turned the grinder over, I only saw what was left of the mounting plate. Looked back 30 yards and saw a nearly new grinding wheel. I ordered a NEW $15 OEM Velcro mounting pad (Dewalt) for my sander and had to hand sand the remaining 400 feet of my guardrail while waiting for parts. Upon arrival I wanted to give these slices a good shake, so with a new hook and loop and holding the grinder at the end of the grinder, the next 6 slices flew away in less than 2 minutes. I've always used a Gator brand wheel for everything, but figured I'd only use it to take out the roughness before fine sanding. In the end it cost me more money, time and 2 very sick handsπŸ˜‚
