I've been using bissell crosswave for a little over 2 months with pets and small children. 2500 square feet of tile, hardwood, carpet and laminate. I'm so damn impressed with this thing! Pick up everything! He picked up the nightgown my daughter had thrown in his way. Seriously, it's that convenient. This significantly reduces my cleaning time as I can vacuum and mop at the same time. Not to mention the ability to move from room to room wirelessly. The only reason I gave him 4 stars is because he doesn't like deep pile carpets. Which is really hard to find in a vacuum. It does almost everything else. And the self-cleaning cycle is even more impressive! For us pure freaks this is the perfect tool!
